The Ottawa Dragon Boat Foundation has created a new Community Fund that will mean groups can apply year ’round to receive up to $10,000 in grants for special projects, new equipment, innovative ideas or for crisis needs.
Naomi Garneau can now add pin-up girl to her list of accomplishments and she couldn’t be prouder.
“August is probably my best month,” quips Garneau, one of the captains of the multiple medal-winning Psirens women’s dragon boat team, which recently launched a “bare it all” calendar to raise money for charity.
