All funds raised through ODBF will help fund the OGYF Camp Fund to subsidize summer camp registration for young people to mitigate any diversity, inclusion, and equality barriers a young person might be facing: The OGYF has a successful history of supporting vulnerable youth through summer camp experiences in both the Outaouais and Ottawa area. From 2015 to 2020, the OGYF granted more than $1.6 million to 40 different charitable organizations who offered summer camp programs. The funding provided was used by camps to provide subsidies to mitigate any diversity, inclusion, and equality barriers a young person might be facing in terms of accessing a summer camp opportunity. Many of the camps that have received past funding support from the OGYF are reaching out to seek funds for their 2021 summer camp programs. They are telling the OGYF that demand for summer camp registration and subsidy support has dramatically increased because of the pandemic. More families are seeking financial supports to provide opportunities for their children. This, while many charitable organizations are having to do more, with less, because of pandemic pressures on their operations. The OGYF is determined to help, and can, with your support.
